Coconut Matting

Product Overview

This biodegradable, woven, erosion and sedimentation control product is made locally from upcycled coconut husk fibers (coir), ideal for protecting slopes, roadsides, and riverbanks. It is a Rolled Erosion Control Product (RECP) that also serves as a short-term bi-axial geogrid, due to the tensile strength of the woven fibers, perfect for adding stability in the sub-base of rural or temporary roads.

Use Cases & Applications

Coconut matting is a highly effective, biodegradable geotextile used for eco-friendly land stabilization and erosion control. Key applications include surface stabilization on road and building construction sites, protection against scouring for riverbanks and canals, and accelerating natural cover regeneration in quarries and landfills.
