Quarry Rehabilitation

In partnership with National Quarries Company Limited, Close the Loop Caribbean, and IAMovement, Vetiver TT is leading the transformation of a once-degraded quarry into a model of ecological renewal and climate resilience.

Serving as the technical partner, Vetiver TT guides both the rehabilitation design and the carbon quantification process, ensuring that every tree planted and every slope stabilized contributes to measurable environmental impact.

Using the Vetiver System, native reforestation, and soil restoration practices, the project is rebuilding ecosystem function — stabilizing slopes, restoring biodiversity, and regenerating soil health. As the forest matures, the team is also measuring and verifying carbon sequestration across reforested, acacia, and degraded zones, converting this living system into a certified carbon project.

This initiative represents the natural succession of our business and mission — evolving from reforestation to restoration to carbon regeneration — just like the ecosystems we help bring back to life.
