IAL Shoreline

Along a vulnerable 300-meter stretch of coastline, the IAL beachfront facility faced the threat of losing vital infrastructure to erosion. Vetiver TT delivered a sustainable, nature-based defense system that combined rock revetments, the Vetiver System, and French drains into one integrated solution.

The rock revetment dissipates wave energy before it reaches the shore, protecting the land from the impact of the sea. On land, the Vetiver System reinforces the slope with deep, fibrous roots that anchor soil, reduce runoff, and prevent slippage. Beneath the surface, French drains redirect excess water away from the slope face, keeping it stable even under heavy rainfall.

Together, these interventions create a resilient coastline — one that protects critical assets while working in harmony with nature.
